Just Peace Chorus

The Just Peace Chorus is a group of musicians who sing and play songs that inspire hope, justice, and peaceful action by actively engaging with the communities in and around Lansing. There are no people restrictions, ALL people are welcome! We will have weekly rehearsals where singers will work with an accompanist to develop an artful, peaceful, playful, skilled program to be performed at the end of each semester. Participants can also choose to only attend monthly rehearsals accompanied by the band to learn songs of resistance. These song selections are intended to encourage crowd participation at local justice events, like rallies. The band currently comprises drums, guitars, bass, trombone, saxophone and vocals. However, this is a more the merrier situation so other instrumentalists, including beginning players, are encouraged to come!
